Monitoring Your Filings via EFTPS
Even though you may have a 3rd party payroll provider file payroll returns and make tax payments, you are ultimately responsible for making sure they are filed and paid. The IRS recommends enrollment in the U.S. Treasury Department’s Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS), to monitor your account and ensure that timely payments are being made on your behalf. Most state tax agencies also offer a way to verify your tax payments. Please contact the appropriate state offices directly for details. How to update your Withholding to account for Tax Law Changes
Public Law 119-21, commonly known as the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), contains several new or enhanced deductions that individuals can claim. Many of these deductions are available beginning in 2025. If you are an employee and want to account for these deductions in the income tax withheld from the remainder of your paychecks in 2025, you must submit to your employer a new 2025 Form W-4.
